The Blendotron is a midi-controlled food processor instrument I built in response to an idea from Anne Tucker for Streets Ahead.

Originally envisioned as a Sonic Smoothy Station, the sour realities of Health & Safety regulations and catering logistics meant I had to leave the live-food mash-up to another time, instead substituting various ingredients into the stations for percussive and fluid effect.

We cooked up an interesting blend of Acoustic Balm with the device however, as an outboard effect unit to the Tonefloat at 'Feast' in 2008.

Hopefully this will have another performance at an appropriately open-minded Food Festival sometime soon.....

Afraid there's only a scanty bit of meejah to document this. Here's a very random YouTube video with a wee snippet of the device at the start. It's not doing very much  at this point though, hardly worth having on the website, but it's the only video... so far.
